Just to sum up on UID (and try to conclude), from an IT point of view :

1. Complexity (cost of the code) : extremely high
2. Added value (feature for the end user) : from 0 (Michal's and me) to high
(Alexander and Benoit)

So I propose that first criteria (cost of UIDs) simply sets the priority of
this point to very low.
