Hi all,
I have been using Scid for quite some time for various database functions,
but not for analysis with engines. With version 3.6.25, I find that the
engine analysis function has improved considerably. Previously, the output
used to be without move numbers and in long notation. But the major problem
preventing a total switchover is that the Fritz engines don't work in any
other interface! Anyway, some comments / questions / suggestions on the
engine analysis window :
1. The Stop / Start Button is missing a border, so it does not look like a
button.
2. The Annotate Window is missing a scroll option, it does not fit on my 600
height screen.
3. How does one set the time/depth per move for the Finish game option?
4. In multiPV mode, is it possible to see the complete history of
variations? This is possible in Arena, but not with Fritz GUIs.
5. For blunderchecking games, Fritz GUI starts from the end of the game and
works backward. A similar option could be included? Arena can be used for
blunderchecking in either direction. And control could be based on ply depth
also and not only time?
Regards,
Dhanish
