I suppose you have a netbook (screen = 1024x600), and I was told that when
a window does not fit in the screen there are some key combinations to move
it around and then access to all its content.
But anyway with Tk 8.5 I will be able to use notebook tabs in overcrowded
windows (like in Pocket PC Scid) so the number of windows that are too big
should decrease.
But this will take months.
