Would you mind using filenames like in the tcl/tk-code? One
Could then imagine to extract the icons back from the
source. They're stored as base64-encoded gif, therefore it
should be "possible" to convert them back to gif. In case, I

I feel it important that the reader understands that he can
not really work _on_ the PGN. So I'd base the description on
how to get it into a database, and just add a sidenote "if
you only want to view."
