You will quickly find the differences between the two versions by
running a diff or looking at changelog ("Modified Phalanx sources :
added a setboard call, and modified io.c file"). I also added a way
for Scid to be sure it is the modified version of Phalanx that is
used.
Some years ago I tried to contact Phalanx' admin at Sourceforge but
got no answer, so I had to make those changes.
