I do this with Edit --> Set Up Start Board. Then I start the analysis engine
but quickly cover up its output with another window (I use the Book Window F6
for that). Let it run for a few minutes and then look at the engine analysis
for the solution.

Subject: [Scid-users] Chess Puzzles

SCID v4.5.2, Nov 2013 (32bit)
Using Tcl/Tk v8.6.1
Win7x64 SP1 with all known updates
Can SCID be used to play chess puzzles? That is not show the the next move
unless it is the correct move has been found.
I reallize that SCID was not designed for this purpose, but I'm wondering if
there is a "work around" or a feature that I haven't found yet that would allow
me to find the next "correct" move without seeing the chess engine's analysis.
I saw a training mode, but I haven't been able to get it to work. Does
"training mode" apply to me?
