Hi,
Go to Training->Tactics and select one of the tactics databases. Does this
work for you? It should prompt you to solve each problem, with the answer
automatically checked by the computer engine. It also marks the ones you
get right or wrong.
I've done several thousand tactics using this feature.
If the built in tactics databases work for you as in the above
instructions, then to add a new database with your own problems, you just
need to drag and drop that database (in scid format) to your "bases"
directory. This is the directory defined in the Options->bases menu item.
