No, it isn't normal behaviour.

1) I was referring to an unsaved game - not a saved game with unsaved
changes.

2) If you start a new office document, make changes/additions, then
Select All -> Copy, everything will go to the Clipboard. It it didn't,
the Clipboard would be empty!

3) NB Scid 4.5.2 (and all previous Scids I used) copied the variations.
So this a different, non-standard behaviour in 4.6.0.
