Thanks Fulvio, with regard to your Stockfish explanation: I'll try that as soon as I have a working version of SCID on my mac. As for now, on starting SCID, the following message appears: Scid: error starting analysis Unable to start the program: /Programma's/stockfish-5-64 (Programma's is the Dutch for Apps) The only option is to press OK and then Scid closes down. Reinstalling SCID alters nothing.
