Thanks Fulvio! At least SCID opens again without the error message. Now back to the Stockfish issue: I downloaded it and extracted the file for stockfish-6-64. Now, when in Scid - Tools - Analysis Engine when I want to add it, Scid sees the file, displays it in gray and thus does not recognize it as a file it can work with. What am I doing wrong? With regard to your remark on the source code: I downloaded a recent version of scid from sourceforge and just installed it, with regard to source code I know next to nothing... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more.
