Hello Scid-Users,

when recording a new game into a database with the mouse it happens sometimes that I choose a wrong move. To correct this misentry of the last move the fastest way is to select the keystrokes Ctrl+Z (take back last action). This works very well.

My "problem" (a really small one, indeed) with this kind of correction is, that I usually put the scoresheets of both players onto the laptop keyboard when recording games. Thus I have to take away the scoresheets from the keyboard first every time to correct a move that was entered false. Therefore I am looking for an easy way to take back a misentry by using the mouse only. Of course I could do this by these steps:

- go back one move (with mouse or arrow keys)
- enter the correct move instead (shows now as a variant)
- right-click the new line and choose "promote variation to main line" (now the wrong move shows as a variation)
- right-click the wrong-move-line and choose "delete variation"

This mouse-only procedure is annoying and takes too much time and mouse clicks. Isn't there an easier way to take back a wrong move without using the keyboard (Ctrl+Z)?

Thanks a lot,
