Thank you for this excellent project.

The first thing I always use to judge the quality of a project is the 
state of its source code.  In perusing the project source tree, I 
noticed that you apparently decided not to use the source from the 
originators of CQL, even though it is available on request.

Was this a licensing issue, or was it an issue with the quality of their 
code?

Your decision to go with CQL for all search funtionality in Scidb is a 
huge plus for the project, in my humble opinion, along with your 
decision to avoid the bloat (e.g., fics, correspondence chess, computer 
tourny, etc etc etc) that has infected the other Scid derivatives.  (No 
offense intended to Steve and Fulvio.)

I'm also curious as to whether there is an scidb-dev list to be found in 
some obscure corner of the universe?
