If I recall correctly, the last paper was focused on technical choices that
helped making scikit-learn an efficient, yet easy to use package. In this
one, maybe we can focus on what makes scikit-learn a good toolbox for
scientist in terms of features. I think we have had some nice additions
since the last paper: the killer features I think scikit-learn has compared
to other packages is 1) online algorithms 2) support for sparse matrices
(it seems to me that a lot of people don't even the existence of sparse
arrays, at least amongst my colleagues) 3) multilabel and multiclass. Also,
there has been some nice additions of specific algorithms (I'm personnally
very excited about the biclustering, which I haven't had time to test yet),
and major improvements of "old" algorithms (random forest).
I expect python to be one of the most widely used language of this
workshop. Fernando Perez is giving the keynote.

needs to be private.
Also, I have no experience at all in submitting papers to NIPS or NIPS
workshop, so I don't know how it is best to proceed.
