What do you want this to *mean*? Selections are ranges of characters... so, would this mean that all selections include some portion of the right side of a line? And you can never just select [say] the first three chars of a line?
Or are you asking for selections to continue working as now, but with the addition of a [presumably differently colored] ultra-visible "the selection is on this line" indicator?
