the nvidia site = ya. ::the GLX accelerated driver is closed source (but if your use to window's or not a developer it dont matter) ::the nvidia kernel source is open though.
you need both for acceleration(that and some XF86Config tweeks) but i dont know what chipset you have so try reading the readme::: http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-4191/README to see if your chipset is there.
