What is the job title? all i see is:
*Senior Computer Support Specialist* (internal announcement)
which appears to be an internal position only. Am I pulling a Homer too?

Fellow slugsters,

If anyone is interested, we have an opening up at USD in Vermillion in ITS
(Info. Tech. Services) where I work. Not sure if they have it in the paper
yet, so go online and check out Employment at http://www.usd.edu.

It is a computer position on our helpdesk, PC and apps for department,
faculty, and students mostly, and does pay somewhere around 25-30K to start
(I think, don't quote me on that). I will say it is a great place to work,
with 3 weeks vacation to start, holidays, retirement plan, etc. Is a State
job. Jeans to work everyday if you so choose. Hectic, but laid back...if
you know what I mean, we have about 1/2 the people we actually need. If
there is such a thing as stable employment (no one is immune anywhere, I
guess), this is it.

We have it all, Microsoft, Unix (Solaris), Linux, MAC's, Xboxer's and
whatever.

We had someone move up into new position, so this one opened up. Last time
we had position like this open up we had 100 resume's. Certs are not
everything (or required), but they do not hurt either. Suits in interview
not required, but I would not recommend sandals and torn t-shirts either.

Hi list,

This town just pissed me off for the last time! No jobs unless you
like flipping burgers or killing animals. You can't get you damn foot
in any door unless your already have 6 years experience. I just got shot down for the last time. May be you need to abandon all ethics
in order to show people just what you can do with a computer!

Ahhhhhhh. sorry for the rant. I've been looking for almost two years
now and it just sucks!
