If you are communicating with a Cicso device on the console, there should be no need to 'connect' to it... you are connected by being physically connected. You should see messages as it boots up and you should be prompted for a user and/or password if it is set up for one... or you should just see the cisco prompt. John Pritchard Catalyst Solutions
