> SCM Migration Project Tool Usage Survey > > What tools have you used from the SCM Migration Project?
gypfm and webrev.. thought the tools haven't been updated in quite a while (Jun 31 2007), so I can't say I've been completely bleeding edge.. > > When was the last time you used them? constantly for the last 9 months.. > What project(s) did you use them for? zfscrypto > Are you a project or consolidation gatekeeper? project > What consolidation are you targeting? ON > Did you use teamware or mercurial? mercurial > > Did you have to do any merges or "tricky" operations? A few times merge different project gates or merging onnv with the zfscrypto gate.. > Did you use the tools inside or outside SWAN? inside > Did you find any issues? Mostly gypfm sometimes would mess up the complicated merges.. It would loose which line when where or trash both windows and merge nothing.. Many months ago I had looked for an updated version and didn't find any, might have looked in the wrong spot.. That's the most significant issue.. The other thing is when I've used nightly on a build machine that doesn't have the compilers or onbld in /opt, I have to set the TEAMWARE shell variable to the tools. Yet nowhere in the environment variables is TEAMWARE defined and instead it has ONBLD_BIN, BUILD_TOOLS, ONBLD_TOOLS, SPRO_ROOT, and the like that seem to have no affect on nightly.. They should be using all the same environment variables.. But perhaps I'm missing something.. > Anything else that you think the SCM team should know > about before we integrate? nope
