richlowe at richlowe.net changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|blocker |critical ------- Comment #21 from richlowe at richlowe.net 2008-01-12 16:47 PDT ------- (In reply to comment #20) > Are there specific bugs that we should list that this bug is blocking? Or is > this bug just generally interfering with testing? It was listed as blocking in the "blocks integration" sense, and never downgraded. Dropped to critical > Also, how hard is it to recover once this bug strikes? It is impossible to recover the workspace in question. Changes can be recovered in the cases we have seen via either cdm backups, or exporting the changeset(s) you may want (in the case Bart had, Stephen fixed it, I believe via the second method, as many things would still function). I have restored his workspaces via cdm's backups with success. Of course, any work not in the backup may be toast (depending on how badly things go wrong, there's a testcase in the upstream bug that breaks things in the same manner but with worse results). > It looks like the > repository is toast (or someone needs to rebuild the manifest by hand), i.e., > restore from backups is the best bet. Is that accurate? I'm not convinced the manifest could be rebuilt, even if someone were to wish to go to the effort to try. You must restore the contents, the workspace itself is toast. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.grommit.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
