Thank you very much, I appreciate your help.

I indeed starting hacking the RequestTracker.pm and bypassed this check, but
unfortunately it's not only the version number that creates troubles. Scmbug
tries to load some libraries, but it assumes a very certain configuration,
which does not fit either my version of RequestTracker or (most often) the
Windows environment I work on. So even with a 3.4 version, I am not sure it
would have worked without any hacking.

So, with my basic knowledge of Perl, I hack here and there trying to make it
work step by step - but by now I start losing hope. And the Windows binary of
version 3.4 of Request Tracker is not yet tested, therefore I am not sure if an
upgrade will do more good or harm.

When I will get some more time, I will give it again a try, maybe with another
ticketing system, I noticed that Bugzilla and Mantis are far more tested in the
community with scmbug, maybe I try one of these.

Thanks again,

Nadia Poulou

You could hack "set_version_type" in the file RequestTracker.pm which
is loacted in share\scmbug\lib\Scmbug\Daemon. This function tests for
the supported versions of each Bugtracker, the results of hacking this
are unpredictable, of course.
