Which SCM system are you integrating ? I'm wondering if this is an issue with CVS and the policy to consolidate cvs log messages.
Also, if you look at activity.log, is there an indication of how long it takes from the time an activity_verify is issued until an activity_commit is issued ? The logs should have timestamps.
