The project has long had the emacs/vim info in each source file, so there's no reason to change.
That said, some automated checking in buildbot might not be a bad idea.

I, personally, don't feel like I would write better code (or more code) with it. And as a user I don't care how the SCons sources look, as long as it's doing what I expect from it.

Let's all together try to get Python3-compliant instead... ;)
