I think we'll be along some time to stay in the Pub House. I have never set
foot on Easdale, but in 1974 first photographed Seil's slate spit beach, and
the Bride over the Atlantic - used in one the Highlands & Islands sponsored
books of the mid-1970s, despite my dark and exaggerated printing style at
the time. I was one of the first wave of photographers to own and work with
extreme wide-angle lenses on 35mm, so my pictures were very different.

I'm more a singer than a instrumentalist but spend most of my time playing
along with local sessions. That's just how it is. We have a view to leaving
Kelso at some time - we have a very large property here which cost
surprisingly little, but as we get into our 50s instead of our 30s (which
applied 12 years ago when we came here) we hardly need 5000 square feet of
gradually deteriorating Regency splendour. Right now we are trying to work
out how best to create two letting units for tourists and just 'live in the
middle bit'. Easdale would have considerable attractions and I'm passing
printouts to my wife. We could bring our digital recording studio!
