There was some discussion of delivering customized turnkey systems vi the
group formed to look at making money out of Linux. Just to stick my oar in
and add to the general melee (with a circumflex somewhere?)....
There is a definite (no pun intended - for those not in the know, another
couple of Linux distro's = {definite, Eritani}) lack of turn key crypto
systems. I'm in the throes of trying to set up SSL. Unfortunately I missed
the SLUG talk on SSH, and only have the bearest grasp of PKI, and would
love if someone else had done all the work for me, even with relatively
un-authenticated certificates.
There are also a lot of very good and widely applicable free applications
out there; MRBS (Meeting Room booking system - although usable as a general
claendaring app) springs to mind, IRM / IRMA is very good, although missing
a few wee bits, I've just installed MysqlTool and been very impressed and
to fill out the range of web delivered apps, WebMin and SquirrelMail.
Just my tuppence worth.
