I'd agree with Alejandro, Zope could well be what you're looking for.

The ideal Zope usage, is to have it sitting behind Apache, this way, you
can have the best of all worlds, php if you want it, cgi-bin if you need
them, and Zope.

Anybody concerned about performance with Zope, might want to note that
www.trouble.co.uk (the website of the cable/satellite channel) is run on
Zope in a similar manner, being based upon a dual-500Mhz PIII, and
serves >150,000 pages an hour.
