From what i can gather you've probably misconfigured your fb stuff,
try removing any vga=xxx lines from your lilo.conf and trying again,
also if you compiled in magic sys key support under kernal hacking try
opening kernel debugger.
if your using fbdev on console make sure you made some fonts available,
and if your using matrox or the other accelerated cards rather than the
vesa fb make sureyou set lilo up correctly.
