I'm running webmin on my home machine quite happily with OpenSSH on the connection, 
only thing that bugs me is having to accept the certificate every time, but compared 
to passing my root password over the network unencrypted...its a sacrifice im' willing 
to make.

The webmin site has information on securing it.
