It's as secure as your root password If you are confident about the unguessability of your root pwd then go ahead and use webmin, its a very handy tool. I'm sure the purists will point out arcane little things you cant do with it but then thats purists for you, they are probably spitting bullets at the very thought of anyone wanting to use a GUI for admin work.
