Last time I looked at pricing (about 2 weeks ago) it was possible
to get between 2 and 3 PCMCIA or PCI wireless adaptor cards for 250, but
only one base station (which is not a lot of use, of course, by itself).
You might have to try and educate your mum to allow you to leave a
computer running...
Netshop usually has a fair range of wireless products and they are
reasonable for price and good for service (i.e. they answer the phone,
