Hi John,

Thanks for the good info John.  I'll head over to www.linux-laptop.net and 
have a browse about.  Yep, all the machines I am looking at are well over a 
year old, so I guess I should be OK.  I'll also give USER2 a try, they have 
an Aberdeen branch I believe which would be my closest one.
