Hi Folks,

I have finally found what I am looking for (i Think), it is the Syslink
WAP11, plugs into a standard rj45 eth port on a hub and does not need to be
managed (so I am told).

However, some bell is ringing in my head about Syslink, I am sure someone
mentioned to stay clear of them, I have looked back over all the replies but
only find (bad) reference to D-Link. Is syslink gear OK?

Colin suggested sticking a Wireless card in my wired PC and using it as a
router. i like the idea as it would be cheaper but how difficult is it
(remembering I took about two weeks to get a simple LAN up)? My set up is a
Linux box with firewall & IP Masq~ . On the 'out' side I have ISDN to my ISP
and on the 'In' side Eth0 which goes to my hub and other Win & Linux(client)
PC's. I do not understand anything about routing but guess I would have to
assign the Wlan card an IP in my existing 192.168.0.0/24 range and <somehow>
arrange for it to re-transmit any packets meant for Eth0, or would the WLAN
become Eth0:0?

Any Help would be appreciated either on Syslink gear or a measure of how
difficult it would be to set up Colin's idea, I am very much a newbie!

Best wishes

Mike
