Hi Chip,

Yes, it was the need to get plugins, such as an external. I was just
noticing the warnings on the possibility of over-heating if someone were to
set it on beds/carpets and anything that covers the venting...

I think the one you mentioned had the same problem. But yes, it is a
good starter if you know what you are doing and just want something simple
instead of hard core expensive computers...

Being so small it is inviting to get it for portability, just make sure
you set it on a hard flat surface all the time...

So, I guess it is time to download the new app Aaron posted.

        Thanks Chip,
        Bruce

P.S.
One of these days I will get back to modifying that Star Trek game for
playing in real time along with many other games...

Bruce,

Well, for $100 I thought it would be worth investigating, for some very
specific application; I just had to go to the Microsoft store mentioned in
the article, and some other places, to read more about it, so I could better
understand it.

You can add a 64GB micro SD disc to bring the HD storage up to a usable
range, and perhaps a bluetooth headset will give you the audio it doesn't
have (along with access to Cortana). You could add a bluetooth keyboard if
you also wanted.

I think you could install WE with some low-overhead synth such as Eloquence,
and you could get a portable hotspot or use your phone.

Then, the only trouble might be finding something useful to do with it!

It does remind me of the Original "SmallTalk" sold by GW Micro.

Hi!

Yes Chip, I wasn't going to comment until you did and besides the fact
that it is a small device, it appears to be only a 32 GB hard drive, a slow
clock and the possibility of over-heating...

It actually does not sound like a good device to have at all.

Only portability and price seems to be what it has and nothing else.

        Bruce

Thanks Rod; an interesting product, but I found Tamas Geczy's review to be
confusing and poorly written.

Hi everyone,

The other day, I posted a link to an article I found on Cool Blind Tech
which I have since learned doesn't work.
It was about the kind of computer you can get with one hundred U.S. dollars.
Sorry about that, and please try this link instead:

Thanks,
