a list of sdlperl projects would be a great idea, maybe even if it was similar to the one on libsdl.org (I put my first game there the other day, go me!!) One big problem, most likely, is that there aren't any sdlperl apps going on :(

I was thinking sdlperl would be perfect for a word game of sorts, but I don't think perl is really fast enough for more of the action packed type games. I was also thinking sdlperl would be really good for some quick and dirty tools like map editors and the likes, things that don't really rely on speed.

But of course my foot might be in my mouth as usual :)

We'll see, my next project may or may not be of sdlperl nature. I am however, scared of that "zillion dlls that i'm not even using" problem. Support for everything by default is nice, but not when you're trying to zip it up and tell a newbie which file to click on :) And I don't think it's nice to put dlls in people's system directories.

Great to know sdlperl is still alive though. I still wonder why Dave tore down the old site.

Has anyone played with the code? Tels, here's your chance to evolve sdlperl w/o Dave telling you to fork :)
