I think that is possible but people want and deserve to get paid for their work. Then the record company(virgin)says you don't get paid unless it is done a certain way it may influance the music . Just a thought.

i saw a video from pumpkins years ago, they said that they planned to go far and get "big"
i don't see sunny day real estate setting that kind of goal for themselves.
i trust them to make good music and also to do what they feel is right in all aspects of the business. the way i see it, each band is different, some sell out, some don't. even if a band gets bigger, they may not change much. it may simply mean more distribution and shows. i do understand people's fear but i hate turning bands into soap operas and making a record label change into a bad thing.
