What is this silliness?
I can understand people not preferring Dan's voice over Jeremy's, but going
so very far as to say a solo album is not a good idea? That's a horrible
thing to say.
I am willing to bet my mother's corpse that if Dan wrote and recorded a solo
album, it would surprise the living Christ out of you. You must bear in mind
that Dan's solo music would most likely sound much different than Sunny Day's
music, so stating that his voice wouldn't be good is altogether out of hand.
When I hear Sunny Day Real Estate I don't exactly picture Jeremy holding the
strings all the time. I personally think Dan would make out just fine; music
AND voice.
"It's just not made to be the central point of music." Yes, you're right, it
just isn't meant to be. Not in a million lifetimes. Mostly because the vocals
are the most important thing in a band, especially to musicians.
