You had me up until the last aforementioned band. ;) Im not sure if it is
only a band's lyrical content that would categorize them as emo. The sound
in general plays a large role in this. Much of this sound also relies on the
singer, in many cases. While Alice in Chains may write emotional lyrics, the
singing and musical styles are closer to metal than anything. I'll refrain
from even talking about a certain aussie band, altogether. Later taters.
