Just this afternoon I was rebuilding my Hardy H., and adept_installer f---ed up a perfectly good install. The installer had automatically brought up networking, wifi, and everything. Then I tried to use adept_installer from the K menu. Firstly, each time I clicked on anything I had to wait 15 minutes for the app to unhang up. Then when all I did was install a bunch of games and cute applications, my network disappeared. ifconfig only returned my loopback device. I had to re-install from scratch. Then, like you said, I started using K-menu -> System -> Adept manager I can't believe I'm saying this but its user interface is almost as user-friendly as sudo aptitude on a command line! -- Phlip --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
