TierraNet has certificates for $35/year. Ever so slightly more than GoDaddy,
but, really, what's $5, or even $15?

I really like TierraNet because they're local (started by UCSD alums, even)
and the quality of their account management interface and customer support
is incomparably better than GoDaddy. You'd be surprised how much easier it
is to buy domains without wading through piles of ridiculous ads.

I don't use their hosting (yawn) or DNS servers (hard to beat DNS Made
Easy), but I moved all of my domains there from GoDaddy and Gandi a few
years back and it's been well worth the switch.
