Cox appears to have great customer service.

OTOH, AT&T perhaps doesn't. And there was that whole business of them  
giving sensitive customer information to the government without a  
warrant.

Note that you can now get free incoming phone service and very cheap  
outgoing phone service through a combination of gizmo and google voice.

I used to have fancy cable. I like TV. But I can get most shows I want  
over the internet now (with many fewer ads, and if you install an ad  
blocker, often none). Those shows I can't, I get from a $14/month  
Netfix service or an antenna.
