If you've got the aptitude for it programming is really fun ... even
addictive. Who needs video games when you can write code? :) Once you
get some small successes under your belt there will be no stopping you!

P.S. Thinking further, programming can be not so fun if your tools
suck. But you're on a good track by picking Ruby.
