And I’m not the only one who remains utterly mystified as to what he said that was offensive (or somehow inoffensive but “unwelcoming”) at all. In the end, though, given that reasonable people can clearly disagree about such things, my real issue is with why it was felt necessary to berate Andreas in public. He’s a good guy, with good intentions, and what he said could clearly at least be interpreted as harmless.
