That would be fun, wouldn’t it?

I don’t want this community to be infected by the political correctness police.

Reasonable, polite, respectful expression of opinion, sarcastic or otherwise,
should be considered acceptable. Questions of taste or interpretation not
concerning matters that are clearly offensive and personal should generally be
retained as a private matter or if it is felt necessary to air them in public,
discussed with good humor.

No-one has yet explained how the post was unwelcoming or offensive. And I’m not
the only one who remains utterly mystified as to what he said that was
offensive (or somehow inoffensive but “unwelcoming”) at all.

In the end, though, given that reasonable people can clearly disagree about
such things, my real issue is with why it was felt necessary to berate Andreas
in public. He’s a good guy, with good intentions, and what he said could
clearly at least be interpreted as harmless. The way he was addressed in public
was unnecessary, overblown, insensitive, personal and above all judgmental.
