Okay, but my confusion still stands: I don’t understand what was in the least unwelcoming about what Andreas said. He mocked HP. He didn’t as tar as I could see say or suggest anything about Mark or his parentage or intelligence or how welcome he was on this list. I don’t see how it was unwelcoming to comment rhetorically on the position advertised in a (only slightly) negative fashion. Surely that’s just reasonable discourse? Is that the cause of the umbrage? That he shouldn’t have discussed the position in a negative light in public? Or that he did so in a (slightly) sarcastic fashion? Or is it something else? I do (STILL) wish someone would explain to me using small words what exactly was unwelcoming/offensive/whatever about Andreas’ posting. Private correspondence I have received indicates that I’m not the only person in this community who can’t see what Andreas did wrong. -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby
