I'm building a rapid prototype Rails app that has to connect to a pre-existing MongoDB instance hosted at Mongolab.
For the ORM layer is there a clear choice between Mongoid and Mongomapper? I can use Rails 3.2.17 or 4.0.3. Also, does anyone have experience pulling binary data (images) out of Mongo and displaying them in a Rails view?
