Chris, You might want to future-proof yourself by looking at
https://github.com/minad/moneta which tries to isolate you from the key/value DB, such that in the future, when you want (need) to upgrade to a real database (*cough* Riak *cough*) it would be easier to do so. I haven't used it, so Im not sure if its more trouble than its worth. But something to consider. - john On Tue, Mar 4, 2014 at 12:04 PM, Chris McCann <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm building a rapid prototype Rails app that has to connect to a > pre-existing MongoDB instance hosted at Mongolab. > > For the ORM layer is there a clear choice between Mongoid and Mongomapper? > I can use Rails 3.2.17 or 4.0.3. > > Also, does anyone have experience pulling binary data (images) out of > Mongo and displaying them in a Rails view? > > Thanks, and my apologies to John Lynch for having to use MongoDB at this > time -- not my choice! > > Cheers, > > Chris > > -- > -- > SD Ruby mailing list > [email protected] > http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "SD Ruby" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > -- -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SD Ruby" group.
