THE MISSING LINK | E-mail glitch blocks Harvard acceptance e-mails

The good folks at AOL must be Yale grads. Harvard had a little
problem notifying some applicants of their admission status. The
school uses e-mail to tell eager applicants "yes" or "no." Too bad
the most important e-mails in the lives of some 75 to 100 young
people were blocked and sent back to Cambridge as spam! Crimson-faced
AOL still can't explain why. Most of those would-be students and
rejects had to go the old fashioned route to find out -- they picked
up the phone and called.
