Lovering is the World Rock Paper Scissors Society's first international champ. You could say he won hands down, or you might elect to avoid using such an obvious pun. Lovering got the upper hand on more than 250 other hand-to-hand combatants at the Toronto competition. His winning hand helped him grab $1,200 in prize money, a video game system and a gold medal. Not bad for a job seeker who needed a handout.
