FEAR HOLDS BACK LINUX ADOPTION | News: Infomatics
Fears about technical roadblocks and support issues are the primary

according to new research. AMR says the open source operating system
is simply not seen by IT executives as viable for major software

including its ERP system -- to Linux.

HOW TO PUSH DATASETS FROM TSO TO WINDOWS? | Ask the Expert

Dear Jim Keohane,
I find myself downloading a variety of datasets from TSO to a Windows
2000 box on a regular basis. I currently use IBM's eNetwork Personal
Communications "receive" application, but I'm curious to know if
there is an application or method besides FTP that can be used to
push datasets to the Windows machine.

THE MISSING LINK | Net is still America's domain

When it comes to Web surfing, Europeans just can't hang ten with
folks on the other side of the pond. Several Internet research firms
found that about 66% of North Americans have Net access, while 40% of
Western Europeans can easily jump online. The gap will widen to 81%
to 51% within three years. The studies also found this: If you can't
stand to hear people jawing on cell phones, steer clear of Italy.
More than eight out of nine Italians have a mobile phone. That's
about double the average of the rest of Europe.
