"Bread as a display device -- we have pictures"
The Java toaster has made its debut. At the JavaOne Conference in San
Francisco, a Brunel University design student unveiled the appliance,
which uses an embedded Java device to access the weather forecast,
then burns the appropriate weather symbol onto a piece of toast. It
may seem pointless, but this imaginative appliance could soon turn
food into the hottest new advertising medium. Well, maybe not, but
let's toast the accomplishment anyway.
