Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws and ITunes
Hi Andy! If I remember correctly, they are for iTunes 12.1, or close to that. When he did these tutorials, you could still simply press CTRL+9 to listen to thousands of radio stations. That is gone in iTunes 12.7. It probably has changed, since he did them. You cannot use iTunes 12.7 to download media to your iPhone anymore either, I believe. I am not sure how good the tutorials would be except to introduce people to iTunes, and to set it up. Re: [JAWS-Users] Skype and Jaws 2018
Hi, I am doing everything that you can do with Skype and JAWS by using the Skype Win10 app. You can tab to the dial pad, press enter, and type in the number, for example. I am making a lot of skype calls, and answering them. JAWS is a little sluggish in the Skype app, but I use it. You just have to be a little patient, and tab more than in a traditional desktop program. There are key commands for skype app as well. David Moore Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Cristóbal Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2018 12:06 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Skype and Jaws 2018 Hello list, Was wondering if anyones been using the latest Skype (be it the desktop or Windows 10 app) with a telephone number and whether theyve been able to perform basic functions with Jaws? I know the Skype topic has come up recently in the past and how there are some accessibility challenges with it. But it looks like theres a nasty Skype for desktop exploit out there and since I dont use the chat features, but rather just the phone aspect, thus my inquiry. I saw that Brian Hartgen commented on Twitter that hes been using the Windows 10 app and is pleased with it. I know Brians probably considered an advanced power user, so maybe he knows how to work around stuff maybe more than the average computer user. Microsoft accessibility has acknowledged the accessibility difficulties with the latest Skype updates, but as of yet, nothings been done about it. IN any event, Im still on Skype for desktop 7.4 and using the latest Jaws 2018. Again, Im mainly interested in the telephone aspect of the program and if its still workable with Jaws. Be it the dedicated desktop app or the universal Windows 10 app. Thanks, Cristobal For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Re: [JAWS-Users] Printing pages from A Website
If all you want is to copy text, you can copy from the webpage and paste into a Word document with any font you want. A few hints: To mark the place that begins the text you wish to copy, press control-Windows key-k. At the end point, press JAWS key and the spacebar together, then m, then control-c for copy. Only the text you selected is copied. To make sure the copied text is formatted consistently with your Word document's formatting, place focus at the desired place in the document and press control-alt-v. Then arrow down once and press enter. This will paste the text as "unformatted," meaning the document's format at that point will take over. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of JM Casey Sent: Friday, February 16, 2018 4:18 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Printing pages from A Website You could do that. If this works fine, your problem is related to a firewall (or other security tool, either hardware or software) that's preventing JAWS from making outcoming connections to the Internet. Checking this will allow us to give specific procedures. Hope it clarifies something. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Holger Fiallo Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2018 9:32 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Researcher None of the features are working, Amazon, CNN and so on. One time I uninstalled Internet Explorer and I was unable to use this feature at all because the Results Viewer depended on IE, but this issue is not similar to things like a specific lookup module not returning results, the WINDOWS+INSERT+R keystroke querying on a different module than the one you most often use, keystrokes for Research It activating other unrelated scripts, etc. So, without getting angry, it would be nice you give more information on what's happening. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Holger Fiallo Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2018 10:37 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Researcher OK.
