https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353975 --- Comment #34 from jamese --- Still occurs for me on Neon dev/stable with Plasma 5.7 and plugging in my 2x Displayport 1.2 screens. This went away for me at least when using Plasma 5.6 but now it's back. Both screens are active but black, the mouse moves into them but nothing in there. [konsole] [Bug 365339] New: Several seconds delay switching to certain tabs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365339 Bug ID: 365339 Summary: Several seconds delay switching to certain tabs Product: konsole Version: master Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: ahartm...@gmail.com I like to use infinite scrollback. Since recently, it takes several seconds to switch to tabs with many thousands of lines of scrollback, such as from compiling a large project with qmake. From the attached backtrace (and other gdb info dump) it looks like konsole's filtering for highlighting etc. is what is taking so long. I think it's probably scanning more than it has to, which would be really just the current screen. And it probably handled it more cleverly before. Needless to say, the current behavior is quite annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a few thousand lines of scrollback in a tab (compiling something with qmake works well) 2. Make sure that the scrollback is still growing (konsole is smart enough not to rescan completely constant contents) 3. Switch to another tab 4. Switch back to the tab with lots of lines Actual Results: konsole hangs for some time before the tab with the long scrollback is shown. Expected Results: konsole shows the tab with the long scrollback quasi-instantly, which it used to do before. I think this is major because it kind of kills the infinite scrollback feature and even makes tab switching with "just" 1000 lines a bit slower. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Now I'm running plasma-discover{,-updater} (muondiscover{,updater}) 5.6.5 on KDE Plasma 5.6.5, KDE Frameworks 5.23.0, Kernel 4.4.0-30-generic 64-bit. I had several (26) updates, clicked the shield with red [x] badge soon after booting, clicked the [Update] button in the popup menu, and clicked one of the package names soon after the window displayed, and got the garbled display of details on top of updates list (attachment coming). I couldn't activate any of the buttons to clean up the display. When I tried to reproduce by running plasma-discover from the command line, after clicking the Update tab and then a package name I got perfect display with the expected animation sliding into the package's details. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 356225] Panel moves to wrong screen when external monitor is connected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356225 --- Comment #133 from ghost53...@gmail.com --- I just updated to plasma 5.7, and whatever changes was made, made matters worse. No matter which screen I try to create a panel on it goes to the left most screen. I had to change my primary display from my middle 144Hz monitor to the left monitor in order to get the panel on the middle screen. Trying to add a panel to the right monitor adds the panel to the left monitor again. Now my work around no longer works, and to have the launcher on the left most screen of 3 24" monitors is really not ideal in terms of the amount of distance my mouse needs to move. Not to mention the fact that setting my primary display to any other screen other than the 144Hz one does not seem logical as tearing on videos is now more likely to happen. I am considering using another DE after having to sit with the effects of the changes to plasma 5.7 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdevelop] [Bug 358311] broken highlighting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358311 --- Comment #5 from Milian Wolff --- Alexander, you have seen this breaking in PHP files? Can you show a screenshot please? If that is not - as I thought - a bug in kdev-clang then it would allow us to search for the culprit in the libs somewhere... Such feedback would be very welcome. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[klipper] [Bug 352171] clipboard history in systray cannot be really disabled, security problem
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352171 ma...@tritonit.cz changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ma...@tritonit.cz --- Comment #19 from ma...@tritonit.cz --- This problem reappeared for me on plasma 5.7.0-2 (archlinux package). 'System Tray Settings' (accessed by right click on the arrow) no longer contain Clipboard in 'General -> Extra Items' section. Instead it appears in 'Entries' panel - and there is no option to disable it. Only available options are 'Visible, Hidden, Auto'. Futhermore none of these states removes Clipboard from the System Tray dropdown panel. Thus, on top of inability to disable it, we can no longer hide it as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365333 --- Comment #4 from Stefan Majewsky --- Interesting. Then there may be two UI issues in there: 1. I did not see that message since it only appears when moving to that setting, not when the KCM starts out in it. 2. The message says "'Re-use screen content' causes severe performance problems on MESA drivers." https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365336 Bug ID: 365336 Summary: Instant Preview moves wrong layer with "move layer with content" Product: krita Version: 3.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Instant Preview Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: eevee.kdeb...@veekun.com Using the move tool in "move layer with content" mode with Instant Preview on will sometimes appear to move the currently-selected layer, rather than the layer being clicked on. The real image will change correctly, so the preview and real image will get severely out of sync. Switching layers manually fixes the preview. This doesn't always happen, and I'm not sure what exactly triggers it, but it reproduces fairly easily. Create a large image and make several layers with a large brush stroke on each, then try to move them around. Clicking on nearly-transparent areas seems more likely to choose the wrong layer. [kwin] [Bug 365333] New: no redraws with OpenGL compositing backends on amdgpu driver
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365333 Bug ID: 365333 Summary: no redraws with OpenGL compositing backends on amdgpu driver Product: kwin Version: 5.7.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: compositing Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: majew...@gmx.net Last week, on my desktop PC, I switched from Catalyst to the new xf86-video-amdgpu driver since the Catalyst driver suddenly started having problems rendering some Steam games. After rebooting to switch to the new kernel and X driver, I was greeted by a black screen. Alt-Shift-F12 resolved the problem, and a few more attempts of Alt-Shift-F12 showed that the screen stopped redrawing whenever compositing was enabled. The only exception is the mouse cursor which still moves appropriately, and changes shape according to the surface beneath it. I checked different settings in the kwincompositing KCM and found that the bug only appears under the following settings: * Rendering backend: OpenGL 2.0 or 3.1 (XRender works fine) * OpenGL interface: GLX (EGL works fine) * Tearing prevention: Reuse screen content ("Full screen repaints" and "Only when cheap" appear to work fine in a short test) The bug is really only hit when all three settings are set to the problematic values. I first saw the problem in kwin 5.6 (after I installed the amdgpu driver), and waited until this week to see if 5.7 would help, but the problem is still reproducible. Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kde] [Bug 365332] New: Control panel sometimes ignores visibility setting "always visible"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365332 Bug ID: 365332 Summary: Control panel sometimes ignores visibility setting "always visible" Product: kde Version: 4.14.1 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: y...@riseup.net I have a second control panel at the upper side of the screen. Sometimes after boot, the title bar of applications is hidden behind that control panel, although in the panel's settings I set it be always visible. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.
